The Cool Teacher

You know, you go through life and you meet people that have a very profound effect on your life. And I have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of people in my crazy life. I've live in or been in just about every state on the eastern coast line of the United States, and like I said, I've met a lot of people from Johnny Rodz to Jay Lethal to a guy that trained me in pro wrestling named Mike Morgan (www.aceprowrestling.com) to John Nash to Dr. William Hanff. The one thing they all have in common to me is that they're all cool teachers. I never got to train with Rodz in NYC, but he was pretty cool to talk to. But everyone else taught me something about myself that I didn't know before. Jay Lethal taught me that I could actually wrestle. Mike Morgan actually taught me that I have a bright future in the business and is giving me the chance to do just that when I graduate with my Bachelor's. John Nash taught me the "business" side of television. There's more to say, but I can't quite put my finger on it right now. Dr. Hanff has taught me what it is to be...knowledgable and cool. Even though he admits that he's long winded, a conversation with Dr. Hanff is something I look forward to a good bit. I tell my wife that he's a walking encyclopedia that he knows so much stuff. Stuff that could quite possibly have stopped Ken Jennings from getting that $2 Million off of Jeopardy.

What's my point in all this? Nothing much. Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to all those guys that had a hand in "raising" JoAnn Wilkins' eldest son since I moved out of South Carolina back in 2002.
